In 1925, Rinaldo and Ezilda Torre visited family in Lucca, Italy. The two returned home to their native San Francisco with something very important: handwritten recipes, which they used to create authentic flavored syrups. These syrups helped Rinaldo and Ezilda reintroduce the Italian soda to their neighborhood. Years later, our syrup was used to create the world’s first flavored latte! We’ve remained a family-owned company -- adhering to the high quality standards that Rinaldo and Ezilda set over 90 years ago. Each and every syrup, sauce, and smoothie is created with care and pride. That’s a promise from our entire family -- including the more than 100 members that make up the Torani team. We started with just five syrups. Today, you can use more than 100 of our naturally flavored syrups, sauces and beverage bases in coffees, sodas, teas, smoothies, cocktails and more. And we’re excited to bring you new taste traditions and flavors as we move forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Torani syrups safe for children to consume in normal drink portions?

Yes, in moderation. The syrups are made with sugar, water, and natural flavors, similar to other dessert toppings. Parents typically use small amounts to flavor milk, hot cocoa, or Italian sodas as an occasional treat.

Can my kids use these syrups to make their own drinks at home?

Yes. The simple pump or pour system makes it easy for older children to flavor their own milk or sparkling water. Younger children should have an adult help with the bottle to avoid spills.

Are the bright colors in the syrups from artificial dyes?

No. Torani uses naturally derived colors, which is reassuring for parents who prefer to avoid artificial dyes in their children's food and drinks.

What kid-friendly drinks can I make with this variety pack?

Popular options include flavored milk, hot cocoa, Italian sodas, lemonades, milkshakes, hot chocolate, and themed mocktails for parties. Vanilla, French Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Salted Caramel all appeal to children.

Is the glass bottle safe to keep in a kitchen where kids are present?

The bottles are sturdy glass, but like any glass product, they can break if dropped. Many families store them on a high shelf or in a closed cabinet and only bring them out for supervised use.

Is this a good product for making drinks at a child's birthday party?

Yes. A DIY drink station with Torani syrups, milk, sparkling water, and ice lets kids build their own flavored drinks. It is interactive, fun, and a popular alternative to sugary sodas.

Can I use these syrups to encourage my child to drink more milk or water?

Many parents use small amounts of syrup to flavor milk or sparkling water to make hydration more appealing. A small pump goes a long way and can make plain drinks more exciting without being overly sweet.

Are there any allergens I should be aware of for kids with sensitivities?

Torani lists ingredients on each bottle, and the classic flavors in this pack typically do not contain major allergens. However, if your child has nut, dairy, or other allergies, always check the label before use.

Is this a good product for a playdate or sleepover activity?

Yes. Kids love making their own Italian sodas or flavored hot chocolates with a small pump of syrup. It is a simple, low-mess activity that feels special and keeps them engaged.

Can I use Torani syrups to make a healthier alternative to store-bought flavored drinks?

Yes. You control the sweetness and the base liquid, so you can skip the preservatives and high-fructose corn syrup found in many bottled kids' drinks. A small amount of Torani in milk or sparkling water is often a cleaner option.

How does Torani compare to kid-targeted syrup brands like DaVinci?

Both are popular and well made. Torani is known for slightly richer, more café-style flavors, while DaVinci often offers more playful flavor profiles. Either works well for kids, and Torani's natural colors are a plus for parents.

Is this a better choice for my family than grocery store coffee creamers with syrup?

Yes. Coffee creamers often contain partially hydrogenated oils and stabilizers, while Torani uses simpler ingredients. You also get a wider range of flavors to use across drinks and baking.

How does Torani compare to bottled chocolate or vanilla syrup for kids?

Bottled chocolate syrups are often thicker and more dessert-like, while Torani is a true flavoring syrup that mixes cleanly into drinks. For everyday milk flavoring, Torani delivers taste without the heavy sugar load of dessert syrups.

Will my child actually like these flavors, or are they too sophisticated?

Vanilla, French Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Salted Caramel are all widely kid-approved. The sweet, creamy, and nutty profiles match flavors kids already love in cookies, ice cream, and pastries.

Is the syrup sticky and hard to clean up if my child spills it?

Because it is a sugar-based syrup, spills can be sticky, but it cleans up easily with warm water and a cloth. Wiping the bottle exterior and capping it after each use prevents most messes.

What is the best way to store these bottles safely around children?

Store them on a high pantry shelf, in a closed cabinet, or on a top fridge shelf. Keep the caps tightened and consider using a pump dispenser that limits how much comes out at once to prevent over-pouring.

How do I use Torani syrup to make a flavored latte at home?

Pull a shot of espresso or brew strong coffee, steam or froth about 6 to 8 ounces of milk, then add 1 to 2 pumps of Torani syrup to the cup before pouring the milk and espresso over it. Stir and enjoy. Adjust the pump count to match your sweetness preference.

Can I use Torani syrup in cold drinks like iced coffee or cold brew?

Yes. Torani syrups are designed for both hot and cold beverages. Add 1 to 2 pumps to a glass of ice, then pour in cold brew, iced coffee, or milk. Stir well because the syrup is denser than cold liquids and settles at the bottom before mixing.

How much syrup should I use per drink?

A standard serving is 1 to 2 tablespoons, which equals roughly 1 to 2 pumps if you are using a pump dispenser. Start with one pump and adjust to taste. Stronger coffee or larger drinks may benefit from two pumps, while lighter drinks often need only one.

Are these syrups compatible with espresso machines, French presses, and drip coffee makers?

Yes. Torani syrups are beverage-agnostic and work with any brewing method, including espresso machines, drip coffee makers, French presses, AeroPress, Moka pots, pod systems, and cold brew makers.

Can I use Torani syrup with non-dairy milks like oat, almond, or soy milk?

Yes. Torani syrups mix well with all common dairy and non-dairy milks, including oat, almond, soy, coconut, and cashew. The flavors complement plant-based milks particularly well, especially Vanilla with oat milk and Salted Caramel with almond milk.

What is included in the Torani Café Variety Pack, and do I need to buy anything else?

The pack includes four 12.7 fl oz glass bottles of Torani syrup in Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Classic Hazelnut, and French Vanilla. Bottles ship sealed with caps. For convenience, many customers add a pump dispenser, but no other accessories are required to use the syrups.

Do I need to refrigerate Torani syrup after opening?

Torani recommends refrigeration after opening to preserve the freshest flavor, although the preservatives in the formula keep it shelf-stable for a reasonable time. Stored in the refrigerator, opened bottles typically last several months.

Is Torani syrup gluten-free and allergen-friendly?

Most Torani classic syrups, including the four in this variety pack, are gluten-free and do not contain major allergens. Always check the specific bottle label for the most current ingredient and allergen information, especially if you have severe sensitivities.

What is the difference between coffee syrup and coffee creamer?

Coffee syrup is a flavoring concentrate designed to add taste without significantly changing the milk content of your drink. Coffee creamers are pre-mixed dairy or non-dairy products that add both flavor and a creamy texture. Syrups give you more control over the milk type and sweetness level.
